Like many who go to great lengths of building a car that's beyond simple bolt-on mods, Andrew had thought about selling his car.

A buyer was lined up to test drive the car at Eastern Creek and on that day Andrew ran into John Boston, a high performance driving instructor and good friend.

Andrew had John jump in the drivers seat for a couple of laps and he clocked a killer time of 1.46. Despite $22k from the potential buyer waving in his face Andrew decided to take the car off the market.

The car ran out of rego and that was the motivation Andrew needed to turn his street car into a time attack car for the World Time Attack Challenge 2010 - Superlap event.

The result? SUPERLAP FASTEST FWD AND FASTEST N/A with a lap record of 1.40.9.
